Emily Shugan Keys BRHS' Gymnastics Sectional Win
Team captures first sectional title and gets ready for run at states.

Bridgewater-Raritan High School gymnasts won the NJSIAA Central Jersey, Section 2 Championships Saturday, powering past perrennial contender Hillsborough, according to NJ.com.
The report on the championship noted Emily Shugan won the all-around title, help the team to it's first sectional title.
“The girls had a great attitude throughout the day and tried their best at each event,” coach Julie Zaneto was quoted in the article. “This is very exciting for all of us, Emily in particular, who has been dealing with an injury throughout the season. Today, she remained dedicated and focused, took it one event at a time and did what she had to do.”
Shugan had been battling an injury through much of the season, but came out strong to score a combined 37.175, enough for the all-around title.
The team is set for the state team championships Thursday at Montgomery.
