The township is hosting a free on-site mobile paper-shredding for all Somerset County residents at the municipal complex. Residents are invited to have personal documents shredded, and all papers will be shredded privately by licensed document-destruction specialists. Staples and paperclips do not have to be removed before shredding, and documents can be brought in any kind of container. This program, called "Operation Secure Shred," is sponsored by the county's Board of Chosen Freeholders, and is done as a courtesy by the Somerset County Division of Consumer Protection.
