Bust Turns Up $3,500 Worth of Drugs, Police Say
North Brunswick man faces multiple drug charges.

A North Brunswick man was arrested Tuesday on multiple drug charges after being found in the parking lot of a restaurant on Main Street in Bridgewater, according to the Somerset County Prosecutor's Office.
Raheem Barron, 37, was charged with third degree distribution of heroin, second degree possession of cocaine with the intent to distribute and possession of drug paraphernalia.
According to Somerset County Prosecutor Geoffrey Soriano, an undercover detective with the office's Organized Crime and Narcotics Task Force made arrangements to purchase heroin from Barron in the parking lot of the restaurant.

Soriano said the detective met with Barron at 1:20 p.m. Tuesday, and purchased 49 bags of heroin from him.
Following the transaction, Soriano said, detectives put Barron under arrest. At that time, Soriano said, Barron gave permission for detectives to search his vehicle.

Soriano said they found 47 smaller individually wrapped bags of cocaine, one bigger bag of cocaine, empty plastic baggies and three cellular telephones.
The heroin purchased, Soriano said, had an estimated street value of $1,000, and the cocaine had an estimated street value of $2,500.
