Man Stabs Housemate Inside Rooming House In Somerset County: Police

The stabbing happened on Wednesday afternoon and is currently under investigation.

SOMERVILLE, NJ — A stabbing at a rooming house in Somerville on Wednesday afternoon is currently under investigation.

Around 12:45 p.m., a stabbing was reported at 35 Somerset St. in Somerville.

One adult man is in custody, and the victim is being treated at Morristown Medical Center for a non-life-threatening knife wound to his arm, said Somerville Police Captain Anthony Brattole.

"The actor and victim were familiar with each other because they lived in the same rooming house in different rooms," said Brattole.

Detectives are still taking statements. This remains under investigation.
