Newmans Lane Bridge Set to Open Friday
But keep your fingers crossed: there's a chance the opening will be delayed.
Since July, a popular shortcut to Martinsville or Liberty Corner from Route 22 has been blocked off, as Somerset County undertook repair work on the Newmans Lane bridge crossing the West Branch of the Middle Brook.
But the project is wrapping up and county officials said the bridge is scheduled to open Friday—with one caveat.

The bridge replacement work has been undertaken by the Konkus Corp., of Branchburg, under a $1,306,598.58 contract awarded in November 2012.
