Other facts

I have 2 reasons for running for reelection to the Board of Ed. 1. I want our children to have access not just to a good education but a great one. I want them to have an education that is high in quality and wide with opportunity. A great education requires excellence in academics to prepare students for their life's work, helps build their character and promote physical health through athletics, and enriches their spirit and potential for expression through the arts. 2. I'm a taxpayer and I want my community to have a school district it can be proud of and it can afford. A great school district enriches the community by developing the mind, body and spirit of its students, this promotes the quality of life in the community and makes that community an attractive place for businesses and people to locate and invest. As a volunteer and an elected Member of the Board I’ve tried to apply my educational, managerial and career experiences to the needs and challenges of our school district. I’m proud of how our community has come together, even in times of economic crisis, to continually improve the services we provide for our children. I appreciate your consideration and I look forward to hearing from you about what's most important from your perspective.
