Person Found Dead Behind Best Buy Committed Suicide, Police Say

The person was found in a vehicle behind the store Aug. 10.

It was determined that the behind Aug. 10 was the victim of an apparent suicide, police said.

Bridgewater Township Police said there will be no more information released on the case out of respect for the family of the victim.

A person was found dead in a vehicle behind the store on Commons Way in the morning of Aug. 10, and foul play was not initially suspected.

According to Bridgewater Township Police Chief Richard Borden, the Bridgewater Township Police Department Communications received information about an endangered resident that morning. Officers, he said, conducted an extensive search of the residence of that person and surrounding areas, but were unable to find anyone.

"Following a concerted effort to locate the individual, Bridgewater Township Police officers expanded their search area and located the individual in a vehicle behind the Best Buy Store located in our township," he said.

At that time, Borden said, the person was found to be dead.
