Pickup Truck Leaking Gasoline, Ignites Into Flames In Bridgewater
The fire also caused damage to Paris Baguette's awning and windows on Saturday night, said police.
BRIDGEWATER, NJ — A pickup truck leaking gasoline ignited into flames on Saturday night, damaging a nearby business in Bridgewater.
On Saturday at around 8:50 p.m., the Bridgewater Township Police Department responded to a report of a vehicle fire in the parking lot of Paris Baguette, at 308 Chimney Rock Road.
"Officers found a 2000 Chevrolet Silverado fully engulfed in flames in a parking space directly in front of the business," said Bridgewater Police Sgt. Kevin Florczak.

Everyone inside the pickup had safely gotten out before police arrived and reported no injuries, said Florczak.
"The truck also began leaking gasoline, which complicated extinguishment," said the Martinsville Fire Department.

The Martinsville Volunteer Fire Department and Finderne Fire Department both extinguished the fire.
A preliminary investigation revealed that the vehicle had been leaking gasoline, which subsequently ignited, said Florczak.
The fire caused minor damage to the business’s awning and windows. This incident remains under investigation by the Bridgewater Township Fire Marshal.
