Rain, Thunderstorms Cancel Bridgewater's Family Fun Day

BRIDGEWATER, NJ — Forecasted rain and thunderstorms have caused Bridgewater's Family Fun Day & Touch-A-Truck event on Sunday to be canceled, the township announced Saturday.

"Mother Nature strikes again!" wrote Bridgewater Township Government. "We know many of you look forward to this day, as we do."

Residents are asked to stay tuned for an update to any possible rescheduling of this event.

Sunday: A chance of showers and thunderstorms, then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm after 2 p.m. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 82. Calm wind becoming southeast around 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70 percent. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.

Sunday Night: Showers and possibly a thunderstorm. Low around 67. East wind around 5 mph becoming calm. Chance of precipitation is 80 percent. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
