Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital to Host Seminar on Kidney Disorders

The free seminar will take place on Dec. 6, 2016.

Our kidneys play an important role, filtering blood and removing waste from our bodies. Conditions such as diabetes and high blood pressure and the use of medications can affect how well our kidneys function. Learn more about various kidney disorders at a free education program on Tuesday, Dec. 6 from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Steeplechase Cancer Center at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Somerset, 30 Rehill Ave., Somerville.

Sunit Kabaria, MD, nephrologist, and Dhiren Dave, MD, urologist and robotic surgeon with RWJ Physician Enterprise Somerset Urological Associates, will present “Kidney Culprits: Catalysts That Cause Complications.” They will discuss kidney conditions such as kidney stones, ESRD and cancer, the signs and symptoms of kidney disorders, diagnostic testing and treatments and how to prevent kidney disease.
