Sept. 14, 2022
At the end of August, the Somerset County Library System of New Jersey’s (SCLSNJ) Bound Brook branch hosted a preschool art experience for approximately 25 children. Children explored stamp art, and got a little messy in a safe, welcoming environment.

“Creative play is a key part of a child’s early literacy experience,” said Aaron Pickett, youth services supervisor. “Open-ended projects like these are fun for children while also allowing them time to experiment with creating art using different kinds of media.”
Due to the program’s success, additional arts events will be hosted throughout the remainder of the year.
