Bridgewater Local Seeks Eligible Donor For 7-Year-Old Cousin, Goddaughter With Leukemia
Megan was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. A screening event will take place at Martinsville Community Center on Jan. 18.

BRIDGEWATER, NJ — A Bridgewater resident is asking the community for help for her 7-year-old goddaughter and cousin, Megan, who was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia(AML).
"She is strong, silly, full of personality, and loved beyond measure," according to a family's flyer for a screening event on Jan. 18.
Megan of Berkley Heights requires a match to find her lifesaving stem cell donor.

Megan's godmother, Michele Carrube of Bridgewater, is hosting a screening event at the Martinsville Community Center, 1961 Washington Valley Road in Martinsville on Sunday, Jan. 18 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Participants will self-administer a cheek swab to check their eligibility as a match. The cheek swab is free for donors ages 18-55.
