Traffic Alert: Upcoming Road Closures in Bridgewater

Somerset County just advised residents of evening road closures that will be taking place in Bridgewater due to road construction.

According to the county, Chimney Rock Road, in the area of the bridge over Interstate 287 between Route 22 Eastbound and Route 28, will be closed to traffic each evening from March 16-18. The roadway will be closed from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m.

The closure will allow for construction associated with an ongoing bridge-widening project to be performed safely. Detour signs will be posted prior to the closure.
