While this program will educate all attendees on healthcare reform in general, there will be an emphasis on the action individuals, especially Entrepreneurs and Sole Proprietors, need to take.  The program will cover:

  • The “Individual Mandate” that becomes effective Jan. 1, 2014;
  • Penalties for non-compliance;
  • What plans are being offered (bronze, silver, etc);
  • What to consider when choosing your health plank.

Jean Angelo has been in the health insurance and employee benefits field for over 20 years.  Half of that time was spent at New Jersey’s leading Health Insurance Carrier and the other half serving as an Independent General Agent.  Getting experience on both the carrier side and the brokerage side has allowed Jean to serve as an effective advocate for New Jersey businesses and their employees in reigning in their healthcare costs and cutting through insurance company red tape.

Most business books and life coaches encourage people to pursue their “passion” in order to enjoy the work they do and experience a successful career.  For some odd reason, Jean found her passion in …..insurance!   She’s involved in her industry, having served on various advisory boards at NJ insurance companies and being active in the National Association of Health Underwriters.  Her strengths in helping others understand complex insurance concepts, her desire to improve people’s current financial situations when it comes to healthcare spending, and the satisfaction she gets in solving problems have contributed to her success over the years.
