5 Contend for 3 Seats in West Essex School Board Election

Five candidates will content for three seats on the West Essex Regional Board of Education this November. 

Incumbent and president of the board David Laible will seek reelection for the only Roseland seat on the ballot. He will face Roseland challengers Deborah Calderone and Anna Gordon. 

In addition, new-comers Bari Schmulewitz, Judith Amorim Dias and Argiro Doolen will vie for two North Caldwell seats. 

Board members Marie Rosenberg and Diane Storey will not seek reelection for their North Caldwell positions on the regional school board. 

All three seats are for three-year terms.
