5 James Caldwell High Students Named ShopRite Stars

Students are nominated every marking period in various academic and community service categories.

James Caldwell High School students were named to the ShopRite Stars list for the third and fourth marking periods for their achievements in five academic and community service categories. 

High school Principal Kevin Barnes recognized students in the areas of academics, arts, athletics, leadership and community service through the ShopRite Stars program recently. Senior students are nominated every marking period in each of these areas.

  • Academics: Emily Scott and Christopher Volz
  • Arts: Thomas Rowland and Meredith Weber
  • Athletics: James Pierce and Emily Banazynski
  • Leadership: James Sweeney and Rachel Edelstein
  • Service to the Community: Ryan DeOliveira and Melissa Faragasso

The students will have their photos displayed in the high school and in the West Caldwell ShopRite.

The program, initiated locally by Ned Gradstein, owner of ShopRite in West Caldwell, was established in 1999 to recognize the accomplishments of local high school students.
