Caldwell Blue Devils Shave Heads for St. Baldrick's

Members of the Caldwell Blue Devils 9U travel baseball team shaved their heads Saturday at a St. Baldrick’s fundraiser held in Cedar Grove.

St. Baldrick’s is a non-profit organization that raises funds to help fight childhood cancer. The group holds events where participants receive donations from friends, family and local businesses for having their heads shaved.

The Caldwell Blue Devils 9U baseball team raised $550 in less than a week for the event held at the Cedar Grove Elks Club. Participants included coaches Nick Bergamotto and John McNish, along with players Mike Gajewski, Matt Casale, Michael Scaglione, Nick Bergamotto and Nick McNish.

Coach Pete Murray and players Peter Murray, Aiden Nobile, Tommy O'Hern, Jimmy Rizzo, Nico Tamimi, Nick Vacca and Nick Vandermolen also helped raise money but were unable to attend the fundraiser.
