Caldwell Police to Collect Drugs Saturday

Local police and DEA participate in National Operation Take Back initiative to keep drugs out of wrong hands and the environment.

Unwanted and expired medications can be dropped off at the Caldwell Police Department, 1 Provost Square, on Saturday, April 27, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Caldwell Police and the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) New Jersey Division invite area residents to dispose of their medications during this National Operation Take Back initiative. The program is anonymous and no questions or requests for idenitifcation will be made.

The goal of the program is to dispose of medications safely and in a manner that is not hazardous to the environment, while keeping drugs from falling into the hands of children or criminals.

A permanent drug drop-box is located in the lobby of the North Caldwell Police Department.
