Caldwell-West Caldwell Asks Residents to Support 2% School Budget Hike
Board of Education to hold special public meeting on 2013-14 budget Wednesday night at Harrison School.

The Caldwell-West Caldwell Board of Education will hold a special public meeting on the 2013-14 school budget on Wednesday, March 27, at 7:30 p.m., at Harrison School.
The $42 million budget, up 1.5% from 2012-13, was introduced earlier this month and sent to the county for approval.
Residents of Caldwell and West Caldwell, neighboring towns with a joint school district, are asked to support the budget in a letter posted on the district's website.

The budget includes a total tax levy of $37,446,765, an increase of 2% or $734,325 from the prior year.
The school tax rate will be 1.140 per $100 of accessed home value for Caldwell and 1.177 per $100 of accessed home value in West Caldwell.

The complete 2013-14 budget is available to be examined Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., except holidays, at the Board of Education building.
