Caldwell-West Caldwell Presents Budget, 'Baby Penguins' Author Visits Library

Here are some of the stories we're working on and what's happening this week in the Caldwells. See you around!

—An Easter turkey and ham collection will be held at Trinity Academy in Caldwell Tuesday.

—The North Caldwell Council will convene Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. at Borough Hall.

—Funeral arrangements for U.S. Army Sgt. Derek McConnell, who was raised in North Caldwell, will take place next week at Par-Troy Funeral Home in Parsippany and Notre Dame Church, where he was a parishioner. 

—The Caldwell-West Caldwell Board of Education will have a special public meeting to present the 2013-14 budget on Wednesday, at 7:30 p.m., at Harrison School.

—This is the last week to fill out surveys on www.cwcboe.org 

—This is also the last week to catch James Caldwell High School student art exhibit at the Caldwell Public Library.

—Author Melissa Guion, who grew up locally, will be visiting the West Caldwell Public Library to read her new book, Baby Penguins Everywhere, on Wednesday.
