Chris Durkin Inducted Into Maplewood Democratic Committee Hall of Fame

The Maplewood Democratic Committee held its second annual Hall of Fame event on Monday, March 11 at Giorgio's Ristorante in South Orange. This year's inductees were Christopher J. Durkin and Celia M. King.  

Durkin grew up in Maplewood and currently lives in West Caldwell. Since January 2006, he has served all of Essex County as County Clerk.

King served on the Maplewood Township Committee from 1994 to 2002, and held the position of Vice Mayor from 1997-2001. She was also active as a member of the Maplewood Democratic Committee for 15 years.  

About 100 people attended the event, including Democratic Committee members from South Orange and West Orange, and a number of elected officials.
