—The final journey for U.S. Army Sgt. Derek McConnell is set. Funeral arrangements will take place on Monday and Tuesday, April 1 and 2, in Parsippany and North Caldwell.
—The Caldwell-West Caldwell Board of Education will hold a conference meeting on Monday, at 7:30 p.m.

—The West Caldwell Council will meet on Tuesday, at 7:15 p.m., and is expected to introduce the 2013 municipal budget.
—The West Caldwell Public Library will hold a crayon collection throughout the month of April. Keep wrappers on and bring them to the library at 30 Clinton Road.
—The 2nd Annual Skate4CF, a fundraiser for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, will take place on Saturday, at Clary Anderson Arena in Montclair. The event is hosted by the Courtright family of Caldwell.
