Restaurant Guide to Art on the Avenue This Saturday

Local restaurants will be offering lunch specials during the fourth annual Art on the Avenue this Saturday

Six of Caldwell’s restaurants will participate in a price-fixed lunch menu during the event, which will run between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Bloomfield Avenue. Just ask for the Art on the Avenue Special!

The restaurants offering specially priced menu items are: 

• Angeloni’s, at 6 Brookside Ave.: Specials include thin crust pizzas, sandwiches, salads, house-made pastas, and seafood.  
• BangKok Kitchen, at 391 Bloomfield Ave.: Celebrating its 12th year of serving Thai food in Caldwell. The menu items are also gluten-free. 
• Caldwell Seafood, at 390 Bloomfield Ave.: This restauarnt gets its fresh fish daily from Fulton Fish Market.
• Cedar Grill & Pizza, 295 Bloomfield Ave.: This pizzeria has become a preferred eatery for pizza and Italian dishes for the community, such as New York-style and gourmet pizzas. 
• Cloverleaf Tavern, 395 Bloomfield Ave.: A perennial favorite with kids, college students and adults. 
• Hog Wild BBQ, at 405 Bloomfield Ave.: You can expect to find a range of items from 3-alarm chili and Louisiana BBQ shrimp to spinach salad. 

“For $9.95 anyone can eat a great lunch at one of the participating restaurants,” said Ryan Dorchak, member of the Merchants Association and owner of the Cloverleaf Tavern.  “We have such a good variety of restaurants in town as you can see from these six restaurants participating in the prix fixe luncheons.”

Art on the Avenue, put on by the Caldwell Merchants’ Association, will feature more 50 awarding-winning artists displaying their art and a jazz band on The Green.

In addition, five artists will paint Caldwell scenes during Art on the Avenue. School children are also participating in the art show. This year young children will celebrate the 100th anniversary of Grover Cleveland Park by creating pictures based on the park.
