Check out what's happening today in the Caldwells.

Here is what is going on in the Caldwells on Wednesday.

  • The West Caldwell Public Library's Summer Reading Club will discuss George Orwell's "1984" on Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. at the library. For more information, call the library at (973) 226-5441.
  • A concert will be put on starting at 6:30 p.m. at the Caldwell Public Library. Musicians Maxine and Ed Alstrom will perform a show and also answer questions about having a career in music and how to play the piano with Max's Magic Chord Method. For more information about this or other events at the Caldwell Library, call 973-226-2837.
  • The water main project in the Cedars section of town will continue on Wednesday between 7 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Every street in the Cedars section of town will be closed during those hours.
  • Spend a few hours getting to know the president of the United States who grew up in the Caldwells: Grover Cleveland. The Grover Cleveland Birthplace, at 207 Bloomfield Ave., will be open between 10 a.m. to noon and 1-4 p.m. Take a tour, see artifacts from that time period and items used by Grover Cleveland himself. And when you're there, snap a picture and share it with The Caldwells Patch by posting it here: http://caldwells.patch.com/boards
  • Know of something going on that you want all your neighbor's to know about? Then post the who, what, when where and why in The Caldwells' event page here: http://caldwells.patch.com/events
