UPDATE: North Caldwell, West Caldwell Republicans Win Elections
Mayoral and Council races in both towns were uncontested. Muccino and Mokris were elected to the Board of Education in North Caldwell.
North Caldwell’s uncontested election saw Republican Mayor Joseph H. Alessi and Republican Council members Cynthia Santomauro and John Chiaia renew their terms, which were set to expire in December.
West Caldwell Mayor Joseph Tempesta, a Republican and Council Republicans Michael Doctoroff, an incumbent, and Kathy Canale, a newcomer to local government also gained seats on the West Caldwell Town Council.
Valenez Buccino and Mary E. Mokris were elected to the Board of Education in the North Caldwell school district.
