West Caldwell Soccer Players Honor Fallen Caldwell Soldier With Wounded Warriors Fundraiser
James Caldwell High School raised more than $1000 for the Wounded Warrior's project at Soccer Saturday and other recent fundraisers.

James Caldwell High School honored Colonel McHugh, a Caldwell native who was killed in the line of duty in May 2010, at a fundraiser for Wounded Warriors and the Caldwell Food Pantry.
Each year, the boys and girls soccer teams work together for a day of soccer and fundraising to benefit the JCHS Soccer Clubs and at least one charity.
The Wounded Warriors fundraiser was part of Soccer Saturday, an event that was renamed after Colonel McHugh four years ago. Fundraising for Soccer Saturday and the Wounded Warriors charity began early as August.

On October 30, JCHS presented the Wounded Warriors with a check for $1051. To raise funds for the Wounded Warriors Project, Students and administrators at James Caldwell High School held several fundraisers, including Soccer Saturday, an apparel sale that featured the Wounded Warriors logo, and a dining event at the local Chipotle Mexican Grill, West Caldwell.
“The students really worked together to make this a success,” said Rich Porfido, director of athletics at JCHS. “Through one event and a lot of hard work, they were able to help those in need on both a national and a local level.”
