The West Essex Middle School Student Council is collecting coins to make "A Positive Change for Brick Township," a community that was devastated by Superstorm Sandy last October.
The student council will collect change during lunch periods during the week of April 15.
"The effects of Hurricane Sandy have been long lasting and they need our help to rebuild their community," reads a poster used to announce the collection at the North Caldwell school.
