West Essex Middle School Students Pledge to Be Drug Free

Student at the North Caldwell School recognized Red Ribbon Week by signing a pledge, wearing red and learning about the history of the week.

Last week, West Essex Middle School students signed a pledge to be drug free and wore red to spread awareness during Red Ribbon Week.

As part of Red Ribbon Week, West Essex Middle School Student Assistance Counselor Patricia Pawlikowski asked students to sign the pledge on a bulletin board in the Middle School Cafeteria during lunch.

Students also learned about the history of Red Ribbon Week and drug awareness at a special presentation on Monday, Oct. 20. Each student received a red wristband during homeroom on Wednesday. Red balloons were also placed throughout the middle school to remind students of their pledge.
