The GFWC/Junior Woman’s Club of Cedar Grove is sponsoring its Mother’s Market at Cedar Grove High School. Mother’s Market is a giant indoor sale of children’s items. Over 40 families will be selling gently used clothing, toys, and accessories for babies, young children, expecting and new moms and grandmothers.  There will also be a selection of new & affordable products of interest to children & families. A $2 admission will be collected at the door to benefit The Seeing Eye.

This cultural day of sustainability will feature live entertainers such as Rancho Folclórico “Dança na Eira” da Fundação Bernardino Coutinho, Ecuadorian Diaspora | Folklore from Ecuador, and Meletrix Jazz Band – games for kids – food – prizes – and much more! An exciting highlight will be the “Eco Village” where you can drop off your electronics and batteries for recycling, as well as partake in a host of exciting environmental demonstrations. Global Hockey Legends For Sandy Relief

North American and Russian hockey legends will face-off April 13, 2013 at 1pm at Prudential Center for a charity game benefitting the Hurricane Sandy New Jersey Relief Fund. All proceeds from the game, featuring New Jersey Devils greats Ken Daneyko, Bruce Driver, Grant Marshall, Jim Dowd, and Sergei Brylin, among others, facing off against a squad of Russian legends including Vyacheslav Fetisov, Alexei Kasatonov, Valery Kamensky, Alexey Yashin and Darius Kasparaitis will support programs designed to address the unmet needs of New Jersey communities in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy.

The Devils Alumni squad will be joined by fellow alums Bob Carpenter, Billy Guerin, Claude Lemieux, Randy McKay, Stephane Richer and Brendan Shanahan. Skating with the Devils will also be NHL Legends Ron Duguay, Brian Leetch and Brian Propp. Jointly, the North American players have won 25 Stanley Cups.
