What Do You Do If You See Suspicious Activity in a Crowd?
The West Essex Community Emergency Response Team is offering a training workshop on how to spot suspicious activity and terrorism on June 19.

What do you look for and how do you respond if you suspect something when you are in a crowd or gathering of people? Find out on Wednesday, June 19, at Caldwell College.
West Essex Community Emergency Response Team is working in conjunction with Campus Safety and Security of Caldwell College to offer a training/information session on terrorism and what you can do to help spot suspicious behavior in a crowd.
The workshop will take place at the college, at 120 Bloomfield Ave., in Werner Hall and will be from noon to 1 p.m. on June 19.
The CERT Team predicts that terrorist targets, like the Boston Marathon bombing, will most likely be at arena events, malls, theme parks, outside the airport, or in ticket lines.
The workshop will be presented by Harry Kleinkauf, former Chief of Police for Cranbury Township and now a member of the Training Bureau for the New Jersey Office of Homeland Security and Preparedness.
This one-hour session is designed to give you the basic tools of observation and help you make the split second decision of how to react.
Seating is limited to 125. For more information on the West Essex Community Response Team or to sign up for training, visit http://wecert.org.
