2 Newcomers, Mayor Vie For Chatham Twp. Committee In June Primary

Incumbents seek re-election in Chatham Borough.

CHATHAM TWP., N.J. – The race for two seats on the Chatham Township Committee will have some new names in June, as three candidates have thrown their hats into the ring.

Incumbent and current Mayor Curt Ritter is seeking re-election on the June 7 ballot, and he’s joined by newcomers John Maurer and Stacey Ewald.

Maurer and Ritter are Republicans, and Ewald is a Democrat.

Current committeeman Bob Gallop, whose term ends Dec. 31 of this year, has not filed for re-election.

Over in Chatham Borough two incumbents will be seeking re-election in the Primary for two seats on the borough council.

James Collander and Victoria Fife have both filed for re-election. Winners in the June 7 Primary will be placed on the General Election ballot in November.

Polls are open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. June 7.
