On Dec. 7th, the Beacon Fire Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution presented June Kennedy with a "Certificate of Appreciation" for her support in providing critical research which verified the route General George Washington and General Rochambeau took on Mt. Airy Road (Route 525) in the Liberty Corner section of Basking Ridge during the American Revolutionary War.

Mrs. Kennedy is a Bernards Township Historian and past Librarian of the Morris County Library whose contributions were essential in completing the research DAR members, Mary Young and Marie Robertson initiated.
Verification of their work was recognized by the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution in Washington, DC and lead to a historical marker being placed on the English Farm in Liberty Corner.
