Girl Scouts Volunteer at Homeless Shelter

Courtesy of Samantha Ekert:

Chatham Girl Scout Troop 1075 recently spent an afternoon at Homeless Solutions in Morristown where the girls learned about homelessness and ways local shelters assist those in need.

The girls enjoyed a tour and presentation from Tamala Reynolds, Volunteer Coordinator, and also made decorative placemats for resident children attending a Halloween party at the shelter later that evening.

At a previous meeting, the scouts assembled over 100 cutlery kits to be used in the shelter's dining room.
