Thursday, October 20th, marks a special day across our country. The 12th annual Lights On Afterschool will be recognized as over 1 million Americans and 7,500+ communities nationwide will celebrate the afterschool programs that keep children safe, inspire them to learn, and help working families.
Congressman Rodney Frelinghuysen (from NJ-11 Congressional District) will be visiting the Work Family Connection After School Enrichment Program at Milton Avenue School in Chatham at 4pm on the 20th. In preparation for Congressman Frelinghuysen's visit, the children have been learning a little about his role and the role of lawmakers. Through books and conversation, they are also developing a list of questions to ask during his time with the program. Parents and school staff are invited to join in the celebration.
The Work-Family Connection is a not-for-profit provider of Before School, After School enrichment, and Kindergarten Wrap around programs currently in its 22nd year of serving the youth in communities across North Jersey. We are proud to serve all elementary and middle school students in the School District of the Chathams as well as other nearby Morris County districts.
