Chatham Among 'Snobbiest' Towns in N.J., Ranking Shows
Home values and average income part of ranking methodology, website says.

It seems like every week Chatham is perched atop a new ranking or list for safest town, best schools, or most desirable place to live.
The eastern Morris County town has found itself on another list, but this one isn’t as glamorous. Let’s remember, though, it’s all in good fun.
According to roadsnacks.net, Chatham is the second most “snobbiest” town in New Jersey, trailing on Princeton, and leading towns like Mendham, Edgewater and Glen Ridge.

The website took a look at New Jersey towns with a population of 5,000 or more, and created a point system to rank median home price, median household income, percent of population with a college degree, and a few other pieces of criteria.
According to the site’s ranking of Chatham:

“Not only do residents have some of the nicest and most expensive houses in the state (not to mention country), but they’re also some of the most educated—77 percent of people here have college degrees (and they’ll happily tell you all about their various areas of expertise.)”
