Incumbents Continue To Lead In Chatham Board Of Education Races

UPDATED ON NOV. 4, 2021 - 6:02 p.m.

CHATHAM, NJ — In the School District of the Chathams' contested race for both Borough and Township seats on Thursday evening, Ann Ciccarelli and Chris Delsandro continued to lead for Borough seats over Lara Freidenfelds and Brian Hargrove.

In addition for Township seats, Michelle Clark and Lata Kenney, continued their leads over Kyle C Roberts and James A. Nau, according to unofficial results.

As of Tuesday night, Ciccarelli had 1,211, Freidenfelds 612 and a write-in, 5. Delsandro had 974, Hargrove 795 and a write-in, 3. Clark had 1,260, Kenney 1,072, Roberts 819, Nau 719 and write-ins, 9.

As of Wednesday morning, Ciccarelli had 1,469, Freidenfelds 847 and there was a write-in with 7 votes. Delsandro had 1,215 to Hargrove's 1,048, with a write-in of 6. Clark had 1,724, Kenney 1,508, Roberts 970, Nau 846 and there were 25 write-ins in that race.

As of Wednesday evening, Ciccarelli had 1,612, Freidenfelds 909 and there was a write-in with 8 votes. Delsandro had 1,342 to Hargrove's 1,129, with a write-in of 7. Clark had 1,873, Kenney 1,645, Roberts 1,075, Nau 939 and there were 26 write-ins in that race.

Here are the real-time results for Chatham Borough's school election with 100 percent of districts reporting, as of Thursday evening:

Chatham Borough Board of Education (one three-year seat up for election)

• Ann Ciccarelli - 1,638
• Lara Freidenfelds - 923
• Write-In -8

Chatham Borough Board of Education (one year unexpired term)

• Chris Delsandro - 1,362
• Brian Hargrove - 1,149
• Write-In - 7

Chatham Township Board of Education (two, three-year seat)

• Michelle Clark - 1,903
• Lata Kenney - 1,673
• Kyle C. Roberts - 1,089
• James A. Nau - 952
• Write-In - 26

The results of all of these races will be official once the Morris County Clerk's Office certifies each of them, after all mail-in ballots and votes from early voting are tallied.
