Chatham Methodist Church to Get New Pastor
Jeff Markay comes to Chatham after 12 years in Caldwell.

After 12, Rev. Jeff Markay will say goodbye to the Caldwell United Methodist Church this summer, church officials announced this week.
Rev. Markay has been reassigned by Bishop John Schol of the Greater New Jersey Conference of the United Methodist Church to serve as the senior pastor at the United Methodist Church in Chatham, starting July 1.
Richard Knox is the current pastor of the Chatham United Methodist Church. Emailed requests for comment Tuesday afternoon were not immediately answered.

The Caldwell United Methodist Church will hold a celebratory dinner at the Hanover Manor in East Hanover on at 5 p.m. Wednesday, May 22.
According to a release from the church in Caldwell, “Bishop John Schol of the Greater New Jersey Conference of the United Methodist Church has made the decision to assign Reverend Markay to the United Methodist Church in Chatham N.J., where he can minister to many new parishioners and where he will spread his spirituality and enthusiasm to a new community.”
