
Geoffrey Durham, a resident of Chatham and Madison, graduated magna cum laude with honor from Skidmore College this spring.
Durham, the son of Mark Durham of Madison and Marilyn Braunberger of Chatham, received his bachelor of arts degree at Skidmore's 101st commencement on May 19 at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center.

Durham was also elected to Phi Beta Kappa, the national honor society that exists to encourage and recognize outstanding individual achievements in liberal education.
He also received the Lee Historiy Prize, established by a former professor and awarded annually to an outstanding student in English or European history.

As an undergraduate at Skidmore, Durham was elected to membership in the Alpha Delta Tau Chapter of Phi Alpha Theta, the international honor society in history.
