Chatham Residents Lost on 9/11 Remembered
Family members, 9-11 Committee members read names of 13 lives lost in attacks.
A crowd gathered around the 9/11 memorial outside the Library of the Chathams Wednesday evening and people listened as the names of the 13 Chatham residents killed in the attacks 12 years ago were read aloud by family members and 9-11 Committee members.
The Rev. Robert Mitchell of St. Patrick Parish gave a blessing and said 9/11 was "a day that changed our lives, a day that changed the world."
A bell was rung by members of Boy Scouts of America Troop 8 and Cub Scout Pack 8 and a flower was placed at the memorial after each name was read.
