Chatham Runners To Race In 2025 Boston Marathon

CHATHAM, NJ — Chatham runners will join nearly 30,000 participants on Monday, April 21, for one of the world’s most iconic road races — the 129th Boston Marathon.

Held annually on Patriots' Day, a Massachusetts holiday honoring the first battles of the American Revolutionary War, the Boston Marathon kicks off with military marchers at 6 a.m., followed by multiple waves of runners starting in Hopkinton throughout the morning.

• 9:09 a.m.: wheelchair division, women
• 9:30 a.m.: handcycle and duo participants
• 9:37 a.m.: professional men
• 9:47 a.m.: professional women

• 10 a.m.: Wave 1
• 10:25 a.m.: Wave 2
• 10:50 a.m.: Wave 3
• 11:15 a.m.: Wave 4
