Chatham Teen Arrested in Madison
Two area teens were charged with having marijuana by Madison Police.

Two Morris County teens were arrested by Madison Police after a motor vehicle stop in the borough last week.
Shortly after 8 p.m. on Monday, March 30, police arrested a 16-year-old Chatham resident and 17-year-old Madison resident following a motor vehicle stop on Kings Road in Madison, police said.
Officers reportedly stopped a vehicle the 17-year-old was operating after observing an alleged violation take place on Madison Avenue. While the teen was providing police with his credentials, officers said they observed a jar containing suspected marijuana in the glove compartment of the vehicle.

Both teens were taken into custody by the Madison Police and later released to their parents. The juvenile detective is conducting a follow-up into the incident.
