Cops: Two Teens Caught Smoking Pot in Woods

At about 3 p.m., patrols responded to the end of Tallmadge Avenue on a report of some juveniles in the woods, police said.

Two girls were observed in a car on Tallmadge Avenue and then walking into the woods, according to police.

Patrolmen Brian Maher and Wayne Shivers walked into the woods and encountered two girls who showed signs of smoking marjiuana, police said.

A burning marijuana cigarette was found, and both girls were arrested, according to police.

One of the girls, a 17-year-old from was arrested and released to a parent pending further action by the Juvenile Detective, police said.

The second girl, Michelle Chase, 18, of was charged with possession of under 50 grams of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia, according to police.

Chase was processed and released pending further court action, police said.
