Lois Maintains Lead In Chatham Township Committee Race

UPDATED: NOV. 4, 2021, 5:48 P.M.

CHATHAM, NJ — In Chatham Township's contested race for Township Committee as of Thursday evening, Mark Lois has continued to hold a lead over Katherine "Kathy" Abbott, according to unofficial results.

Late Tuesday night, Lois was at 1,774 and Abbott at 1,265 votes.

On Wednesday morning, Lois had 1,985 votes to Abbott's 1,877.

On Wednesday evening, Lois had 2,138 and Abbott, 2,036.

Here are the real-time results for Chatham Township's election with 100 percent of districts reporting, as of Thursday evening:

Chatham Township Committee (two seats up for election)

  • Katherine "Kathy" Abbott (D) - 2,071
  • Mark Lois (R) - 2,157
  • Write-In - 0

The results of this race will be official once the Morris County Clerk's Office certifies it, after all mail-in ballots and early votes are tallied.
