Chatham Twp. Police Investigating Rash Of Thefts From Unlocked Cars

Authorities asking anyone with information to call detectives.

CHATHAM TWP., N.J. – Police are investigating several thefts from cars that took place late last week and are asking the public for information and assistance.

The thefts occurred sometime between Wednesday night and Thursday morning, Chatham Township Police said. The department received complaints from residents who said a thief or thieves entered their unlocked vehicles overnight and stole items. The incidents occurred on Longwood Avenue, Highland Avenue, and several streets in the Wickham Woods area.

Anyone with information is asked to call 973-377-0100 and residents are reminded to keep their vehicles locked and remove all valuables and extra key fobs.
