Have You Seen a Bear? Chatham Twp. to Hold Forum on Safety, Prevention Tips

In recent years bear sightings in northern New Jersey, particularly in Morris County, have grown, and not everyone knows what to do when faced with the wild animal in person.

Chatham Township wants to help with that and is inviting residents to learn more about bear safety and prevention techniques at the Municipal Building on Meyersville Road Saturday, Sept. 26 at 11 a.m.
Officials will be speaking about updated policies on black bear management from the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection.
