Kid-Friendly Fun at Fishawack

Memorial Park gets transformed into a carnival at the annual festival.

As the Chatham Chamber of Commerce puts the finishing touches on this year's Fishawack Festival, the children's events promise to offer the fun and excitement families have come to expect.

As always, the children's section of the festival will be located at , behind the . The area will include the inflatable Moonwalk, the Backyard Slide and Tugger the Tiger.

Maxine Silverman said this year, "Lucky Star Amusements will be back with rides for the little ones. Always a big hit is the Trackless Train, sponsored by the Law Offices of Rosemary Stone-Daugherty."

Decorating Den Interiors will also offer make-your-own Spin Art designs, and kids can play at the various carnival games for the chance ti win prizes.

And in case you get hungry and don't want to venture back to the gazebo area for food, will be present at the children's area with lunch foods and, tasty treats by Lily & Jake's Delicious Baked Goods.

Cheryl Smith said money raised from food sales by Lily & Jake's will go toward MecP2 Duplication Syndrome through the Rett Syndrome Research Trust.

Admission to the children's area is $10 per child from 11 a.m. and closes at 3 p.m. The events are sponsored by , Barnabas Health, Cleaners Advantage, Investors Savings Bank, and Madison YMCA.
