Koronkiewicz and Gilmore: The Leaders Chatham Borough Needs

Leaders Who Listen, Serve, and Strengthen Our Community

There are so many things that make Chatham Borough a wonderful place to live, and one that truly stands out is the dedication of our volunteers—those who give their time and energy to keep us safe, support our schools, and help our town run smoothly. I’m deeply grateful to everyone who serves our community in these ways.

This year, I’m proud to support Karen Koronkiewicz and Miles Gilmore for Chatham Borough Council.

After attending a recent candidate forum, I was reminded just how fortunate we are to live in this beautifully run town—thanks to the good work of our current Council, our outstanding Department of Public Works, our dedicated police and first responders, and our remarkable schools. We are blessed indeed.

I was especially impressed by Miles Gilmore, who is running for Council for the first time. His responses were thoughtful, informed, and reflected a genuine desire to understand the responsibilities of the role. He’s already met with members of our police department and borough staff to learn firsthand how the Council can best support them. I also admire his focus on connecting with residents to listen and learn about the issues that matter most. It’s clear he’s a good listener who would represent a wide range of viewpoints with care and respect.

Councilwoman Karen Koronkiewicz has served Chatham with exceptional dedication. Having lived here for decades and served on the Council for six years, she embodies the spirit of service that defines our town. As Chair of the Budget & Finance Committee and a member of Public Safety/Emergency Services and Long-Range Traffic & Pedestrian Safety Planning, she brings experience, balance, and steady leadership to complex issues. Beyond that, her work on the Shade Tree Commission, Affordable Housing Advisory Committee, and Senior Citizen Advisory Committee reflects her deep commitment to improving quality of life for all residents.

Karen and Miles bring just the right mix of experience and new energy to keep Chatham Borough moving forward while staying true to what makes it special.

I hope my fellow residents will join me in voting for Karen Koronkiewicz and Miles Gilmore for Chatham Borough Council.
