Underage Mass. Driver Charged with DWI

said they arrested a Massachusetts driver in the early morning hours of Sunday, April 1.
At 5:39 a.m. on April 1, Patrolman Andrew Chase responded to Main Street near North Passaic Avenue on a report of a driver who fell asleep at the wheel, police said.
Chase found a 2008 Ford stopped at the intersection with the driver apparently asleep, according to police.

The driver, Brett A. Chasnov, 20, of Plymouth, Mass., showed signs of being under the influence of alcohol, police said.
A field sobriety test was issued and upon its completion, Chasnov was placed under arrest for driving while intoxicated, according to police.

During a search of Chasnov's person, a small amount of suspected marijuana was found in his pocket, police said.
As a result of this incident, Chasnov was charged with driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, disregard of traffic control device, possession of under 50 grams of marijuana and possession of CDS paraphernalia, according to police.
He was released to a friend pending further court action, police said.
