UPDATE: Chatham Township Construction Delayed
Chatham Township informs residents of delays in a local construction project.

After a harsh winter and seemingly conveyor belt of snow storms, Chatham Township has informed residents of delays in its sanitary sewer modifications project.
Due to the harsh winter conditions, the township said substantial settlement is still being observed in the pipe trench areas in various locations in Chatham Township. As a result, milling and paving of the roads where the pipe trenches are located has been delayed until June at the earliest, to allow for more time for the trenches to settle, according to the township.
The roadways will continue to be observed and temporary repairs will be made if necessary to keep the roadways safe. The township said the Chatham Township Department of Public Works will be performing ongoing repairs to catch basins and the road base outside of the trench area.
