Emergency Water Repairs May Delay Traffic In Chatham

CHATHAM, NJ — Emergency water repair work on Fairmount Avenue in Chatham on Thursday may cause traffic delays on surrounding streets, officials said.

Due to repairs to the water main on Fairmount Avenue, the roadway will be closed between Red Road and 2nd Street.

The emergency work will take place between the hours of 9 a.m. and 4 p.m., the Chatham Borough Police Department said.

All Chatham residents should expect road closures and traffic delays during those hours.

The road will only be open to local residents, so motorists should plan alternate routes if possible.
